New Balance 990v5 Appears With a Regal Black and Gold Palette
Crocodile skins are added to the “N” logos and toe box overlays.

Since debuting in 2019, the New Balance 990v5 has been well-received from the sneaker community for its ultra plushy ride and “dad shoe” sensibilities. In recent memory, it’s been focusing on delivering a multitude of GR colorways, and now it has just increased its Fall output with this black and gold makeup.
The uppers of this regal makeup are primarily crafted with mesh underlays and nubuck overlays. A solid black touches down on the mid-foot, heel and toe tip overlays as well as drenches the tongues, interior lining, plastic heel molds and the mesh toe boxes. Luxe crocodile skins also show face here by appearing on the “N” logos and the toe box overlays to further pronounce its elevated motif. From there, muted gold accents through the various 990 branding, the mesh ankle collars and the borders of the aforementioned “N” logos. The bottom pieces down below adhere to the all-black look, and feature midsole units that are stuffed with ENCAP cushioning.
