Heritage Auctions has just hit a new milestone by completing the transaction for the most expensive comic book ever sold.
The comic in question is Marvel‘s Amazing Fantasy No. 15 from 1962 — it retailed for 12 cents USD — where it reached a final price of $3.6 million USD. Written by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko with illustrations by Jack Kirby, this copy was graded CGC NM+ 9.6 and was Peter Parker/Spider-Man‘s origin and first appearance issue.
