Panda Express Enters the "Chicken Wars" With an Orange Chicken Sandwich
A new take on the chain’s beloved sweet and sour dish.
Looking to really innovate, Panda Express is now set to enter the “Chicken Wars” with an Orange Chicken Sandwich.
The limited release reimagines the American fast food restaurant chain’s beloved sweet and sour dish of Hunanese origin commonly served on a bed of rice. The sandwich sees a breaded and fried white meat chicken breast cutlet smothered in classic Orange Chicken sauce paired with a spicy sauce, shredded cabbage and thick cut pickles served on a sweet King’s Hawaiian bun.
Priced at $5.95 USD, the Orange Chicken Sandwich will be available exclusively at the Panda Express Innovation Kitchen Pasadena, California September 16 for four weeks. It is unclear if Panda Express will be adding the Orange Chicken Sandwich to its menu after the four-week release.
