A24 Shares Trailer of Family Drama 'The Humans' Starring Steven Yeun and Beanie Feldstein
Marking Yeun’s second film with A24 following ‘Minari.’
A24 has dropped off the first trailer for its upcoming family drama The Humans, starring Steven Yeun and Beanie Feldstein.
The film is a screen adaptation of the Tony-winning play by Stephen Karan, who will also serve as director. The Humans follow a Thanksgiving dinner in Richard, portrayed by Yeun, and Bridig’s, portrayed by Feldstein, rundown New York City apartment:
“Erik Blake has gathered three generations of his Pennsylvania family to celebrate Thanksgiving at his daughter’s apartment in lower Manhattan. As darkness falls outside and eerie things start to go bump in the night, the group’s deepest fears are laid bare. The piercingly funny and haunting debut film from writer-director Stephen Karam, adapted from his Tony Award-winning play, The Humans explores the hidden dread of a family and the love that binds them together.”
Joining Yeun and Feldstein are Richard Jenkins, Amy Schumer and June Squibb. Jayne Houdyshell will also reprise her Broadway role of Deirdre for the film.
