A new scripted TV show about crypto culture is being developed with the help of Emmy-nominated Entourage producer Rob Weiss.

Deadline first reported on the 10-part series in March, noting that the show was being financed using blockchain technology. In addition, showrunners plan to mint NFTs that allow viewers to influence the storyline and hope to release an entire episode of the show as an NFT.

The comedy series follows a tech founder named Mel who launches a token after her friend Aveer, who disappeared. “They battle megalomaniacs, centralized powers and FUD in an opensource revolution where market rallies alternate with equally massive flash crashes, so… Hold On For Dear Life,” the show’s description states.

According to Variety, Weiss signed on after resonating with the show’s pilot, which touched on topics relevant to today’s tech enthusiasts.

“When I read the ‘Hold On for Dear Life’ pilot, I felt as if I had been transported into a fresh and unique universe where characters spoke about money in a whole new language,” he said. “The world of currency is rapidly changing, and ‘Hold On for Dear Life’ will both illuminate and entertain at the same time.”

Variety adds that the show is also executive produced by Beacon Pictures’ Mark Pennell, Satoshi Nakamoto Productions and the MAP Group.
