COMME des GARÇONS SHIRT and KAWS Reunite for a Playful Collaboration
Featuring some of KAWS’ signature figures and motifs.
COMME des GARÇONS SHIRT and KAWS have reunited once again. The new collection features an assortment of vibrant colors and playful designs.
The collection borrows from KAWS’ Michelin Man-inspired Chum character in addition to featuring other signature figures and his infamous ‘xx’ motif. The figures and designs are seen on a variety of garments such as shirts, t-shirts, bags and sweats. Additionally, the collection’s designs include re-worked illustrations from the first collection with CDG in addition to fresh new designs.
One of the highlights of the collection is a patterned lime-green shirt covered in a KAWS print. Recently, KAWS unveiled an 18-foot bronze-built sculpture at Rockefeller Center in New York City. The new sculpture is another one of his renowned “COMPANION” characters and is titled “SHARE.” The new sculpture is a part of his “WHAT PARTY” exhibit that is currently on display at the Brooklyn Museum.
Pieces range from £59.00 (about $82 USD) to £385.00 (about $533 USD). The new CDG x KAWS collection is now available on Aphrodite’s website.
