Nike and UNKNWN Celebrate LeBron 8 “South Beach” Release With a Miami-Inspired Basketball Court
Now open to the public.
Nike is giving new life to one of LeBron James‘ most coveted sneaker releases this year: the LeBron 8 “South Beach”. And in celebration of the very colorway that nodded to his blockbuster move to team up with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh on the Miami Heat, Jame’s concept store UNKNWN — alongside Nike — has transformed its outdoor basketball court into a full Vice City-inspired haven.
Before entering inside the hoop area, you’re greeted with exterior signage that spells out “Greetings from South Beach” along with the four-time NBA champion’s signature crown logo, an UNKNWN insignia and a Swoosh. The backdrop of the actual court is splashed with a bold teal hue to match the uppers of the kicks and comes complemented with pink three point lines, half court circles and free throw line borders. Inside the “paint” you’ll find a solid black hue to match up with the LeBron 8 accents. Additionally, the surrounding walls continue its motif be getting painted with a pink to teal gradient. Additional branding can be found via the Nike check that rests at half court along with a big and bold UNKNWN logo on the wall.
