Mike Tyson Fronts Roberto Cavalli's Wild Spring/Summer 2022 Campaign

Roberto Cavalli has unveiled its Spring/Summer 2022 menswear collection — the first range to arrive from the House under the creative jurisdiction of Fausto Puglisi, who landed at the helm of the brand last year — through a fashion film starring Mike Tyson.
Directed by Tommaso Ottomano, the visual introduces the line, which is designed in reference to the late Andy Warhol‘s pop artwork, while also highlighting Tyson’s trailblazing legacy in boxing and his embodiment of the American Dream.
“Mike Tyson is one of the last living pop icons and beyond being a boxing champion, he is also a stylish man, with a very personal and eccentric taste,” Puglisi said in a release on Monday. “But more than the undisputed boxing champion and American icon, his personal story is also a tale of survival, struggle, and resilience. He embodies America in both the American Dream and all the possibilities it holds, but also its reverse.”

Tyson appears in the video wearing a custom zebra-printed Cavalli ensemble with his last name emblazoned on the back, mimicking the nature of a traditional boxing robe. As per the collection notes, “Cavalli’s men take the ring to fight against the rules, in a free-spirited celebration of self-expression” — a fitting nod to Tyson’s reign as the world heavyweight champion in the late ’80s.
Elsewhere, animal print — everything from tiger and leopard to zebra and cheetah — dominates the collection, commanding button-downs, jackets, shorts and pants alike.
Modeling alongside Tyson in the visual are Jaad Belgaid, Russel White, Madior Fall, Junho Ock, Jonas Barros, Alessio Pozzi, Andrea Silenzi, Paco Diouf, Hasan Ali and Simone Bricchi.
