Hyein Seo Invites You Explore to "Moon Palace" With Its SS21 Editorial
Inspired by Paul Auster’s 1989 novel of the same name.
To introduce its Spring/Summer 2021 collection, South Korean designer Hyein Seo has delivered an evocative editorial for the latest seasonal offering from her eponymous label.
Enlisting photographer Dasom Han and videographer Dawn Jung, the “Moon Palace” campaign is inspired by American writer and film director Paul Auster’s 1989 novel of the same name. Together the imagery and visual build a narrative around the collection that “illustrates how we share each other’s preciousness through destiny, coincidence and connection.” For SS21, Hyein Seo built on her signature style codes for men’s and women’s defined by challenging designs marked by strap detailing, deconstructive flairs and revealing elements. Standouts include the Beaded Hoodie, Moon Palace Knit, Bandeau Bodysuit, Cargo Pants and Knit Pocket Bag.
