Following a series of teasers, we now have an official look at the CLOT x Nike Air Max 1 “K.O.D. Solar Red.” Rounding up what has become a trilogy, the latest colorway follows the “K.O.D. OG” and “K.O.D. CHA” releases from Kevin Poon and Edison Chen‘s imprint.

The Nike Air Max 1 “K.O.D. Solar Red” further cements CLOT’s heritage status and history within sneaker culture, drawing from the exclusive colorway is created for Kanye West during his “Touch The Sky” tour stop in Hong Kong back in 2006. It is rumored that only several pairs of the special sneaker exist in the world seen during the show hosted by CLOT co-founders Edison Chen and Kevin Poon.

It is interesting to note that when Nike’s now-defunct NikeiD program offered the same color options for the Air Max 1, CLOT fans rushed to recreate the exclusive colorway forcing Nike to halt production of the combination.

The upcoming CLOT x Nike Air Max 1 “K.O.D. Solar Red” release has been updated with a reflective red heel with gold embroidery. The mix once again celebrates CLOT’s aim to bridge the East and West referencing the iconic Chinese mix of red and gold just in time for the Olympics. Aside from the mesh toe caps, bright neon pink-paneled upper, silver mudguard and embossed CLOT branding, the shoe features black/white footprint printed insoles and a new take on the “K.O.D.” foot reflexology sole unit.

The CLOT x Nike Air Max 1 “K.O.D. Solar Red” will be available exclusively at JUICE locations worldwide and online. JUICE LOS ANGELES will see a pre-release July 17 with a wider release set for July 20 at other JUICE locations, JUICESTORE App and special pop-up activations.
