Russian Punk-Rave Collective Little Big Takes Crocs' Classic Clog Undergound
Choose from black or “Bubblegum” pink.
Just when you thought Crocs had explored every subculture, the footwear giant announces yet another collaboration — this time around with the Saint Petersburg-based punk-rave collection Little Big.
Little Big (comprised of Ilya “Ilich” Prusikin, Sergey “Gokk” Makarov, Sonya Tayurskaya, and Anton “Boo” Lissov) is one of the most successful bands to come out of Russia, with songs such as “Skibidi” raking in over 500 million views on YouTube. The band’s distinctive style merges rock, punk, rave, and underground subcultures together — it’s all very avant-garde techno-rock-rave to put it another way — and now this attitude has been translated onto the Crocs Classic Clog.
Arriving in a fool-proof colorway of black or a braver “Bubblegum” pink, the former features a studded upper that sees the strap covered in square metal stones, a heel adorned with large spikes, and metallic silver and black Jibbitz that further continue this theme. On the sidewall, Little Big adds a scrawled stamp reading “Bananderground” on one side and “Antipositive” on the other.
For the pink pair, we find the spikes appear in a matte pastel pink, with glittery gold writing reading off the band’s moniker on the sidewall. A more dainty chain appears on the vamp, while hooped piercings have been added all around the mule’s collar. Rounding out both pairs are the “happy” and “grumpy” teddy bear Jiibitz that mimic Ilya Prusikin’s back tattoo.
Take a look at the Little Big x Crocs collaboration above, and pick up both pairs from Crocs’ website on June 22.
