'GoldenEye 007' Fan Spends 1,400 Hours to Remake Entire Game in 'Far Cry 5'
Taking him three years to complete.
A diehard James Bond fan has now remade all the levels in GoldenEye 007 on Far Cry 5.
The remake came from a YouTuber by the name of Krollywood, who painstakingly re-created every single level (except the two bonus ones) from the 1997 N64 cult classic on Ubisoft’s 2018 title with his PlayStation 4. Speaking to Kotaku, the YouTuber said that the entire process took him more than 1,400 hours of work spanning over three years.
According to him, while many modern games provide level editors, Far Cry 5 provided a massive amount of objects for gamers to manipulate, and also included content from other Ubisoft franchises like Watch Dogs and Assassin’s Creed, giving Krollywood even more flexibility to work with.
To show off his creation, Krollywood made an eight-minute video showcasing parts of all the different GoldenEye 007 levels he remade which you can watch above.
Elsewhere in gaming, Nintendo is turning one of its plants in Japan into a video game museum.
