BTS 'Butter' Tops Billboard Hot 100 Chart for Fourth Consecutive Week
A first for any Asian singer/music group.

South Korean boy-band BTS is adding another record to their growing list. Their latest single “Butter” is now in its fourth consecutive week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming the first feat for any Asian singer/music group.
The buzzworthy single surpasses the band’s “Dynamite” single which maintained the No. 1 spot for three consecutive weeks between September and October of last year. “Butter” was first released on May 21 and immediately drew in 12.5 million U.S. streams and sold 111,400 downloads. Through till the end of last week, the band garnered over 25.8 million radio airplay audience impressions spending its first four weeks at the top of the charts.
“Butter” becomes just the 13th song to spend at least its first four weeks at the top spot, a feat Billboard says that “just under a quarter of No. 1 debut have achieved.” Since Olivia Rodrigo’s “Drivers License” No. 1 position in January, BTS becomes the first band to achieve this honor with their single.
