Jaden Releases ‘BYE,’ First Single off 'CTV3 Day Trippers Edition'
Dropped via his own label MSFTS MUSIC/Roc Nation.
Jaden dropped the dreamy first single off of his CTV3 Day Trippers Edition album on Tuesday titled “BYE.” Written by the artist himself and produced by Lido, the song is a carefree summertime bop accompanied by a psychedelic visual of Jaden wandering the Los Angeles desert.
“I was sad when I made this song, but I’m happy it’s out,” Jaden said of the single in a press release. “Welcome to CTV3, welcome to trippy summer. It was the time of our lives.”
“BYE” comes off a revamped version of his third full-length album project, CTV3: Cool Tape Vol. 3, which dropped in August last year and takes on more of a pop sound than the hip-hop sonance of the two previous albums in the Cool Tapes trilogy. The album has blown up to 250 million streams to date, with singles like “Cabin Fever” and “Rainbow Bap.”
While the release date has yet to be announced, the Day Trippers Edition will feature Justin Bieber, Joey Badass, Babe Rainbow and ¿Téo?.
In other music news, Saweetie and Doja Cat’s “Best Friend” has gone platinum six months after its release.
