Bell & Ross has turned back the clock by revisiting its eye-catching 2011 favorite, Red Radar, adding a new ceramic case this time around.

The BR 01-92 Red Radar, took its inspiration from the scanning motion of flight control radar displays and added a bright red-tinted sapphire crystal for visual impact. It became one of Bell & Ross’ bestselling models of all time.

Now, ten years later, Bell & Ross has revisited the design with the BR 03-92 Red Radar Ceramic, which joins the brand’s Flight Instrument Collection, and again presents the time using a series of rotating, overlapping discs and an analogue second hand.

The hour is represented by the position of the outermost passenger plane, while a smaller fighter jet depicts the minutes.

Whereas the original watch used a 46mm version of Bell & Ross’ rounded square case, which was nothing unusual a decade ago, the new model opts for a more wearable 42mm version in matte black ceramic.

Supplied with black rubber and fabric straps, each secured with a black PVD pin buckle, the BR 03-92 Red Radar is a limited edition of 999 pieces and is available now via Bell & Ross retailers, priced $4,300 USD.

Elsewhere in watches, G-SHOCK drops a pair of professional Frogman dive watches with lightweight composite bracelets.
