Paying tribute to the iconic cigar brand, the dial of the new Chronomaster Open takes on the emblematic saffron yellow and white-on-black checkered color scheme, adorning two different halves of the open heart dial. Three subdials at 3, 6 and 9 o’clock display the 30-minute indicator, 12-hour indicator and small seconds respectively, while the beating heart of the El Primero 4061 movement can be seen through the window between 10 and 11 o’clock, running at 36,000 vph with a power reserve of 50 hours. All of this is housed within a 42mm stainless steel case with a sapphire caseback carrying a special Cohiba 55 logo.
To complement the celebratory timepiece, the watch will also come with a set of five special Cohiba cigars housed within an exclusive cobranded porcelain jar.
Limited to just 55 pieces made, Zenith’s Chronomaster Open Cohiba 55th anniversary edition will be available at select retailers across the globe from October.
Elsewhere in watches, Ulysse Nardin has given its Freak X an abstract camo makeover.
