Obi Toppin's Air Jordan 35 Low "Courts" PE is a Colorful Homage to NYC Streetball
And, by association, the rookie Knicks forward’s Brooklyn roots.

Jordan Brand is celebrating New York Knicks rookie forward Obi Toppin‘s NYC roots on his latest PE sneaker, the streetball-inspired Air Jordan 35 Low “Courts.” As Toppin was born in Brooklyn and his father, Obadiah Toppin, was a New York streetball legend known as “Dunker’s Delight,” his new PE is made of equal parts history, family and uncompromising on-court performance. It also follows up his debut PE style, the recent Air Jordan 35 Low “Orange Flood.”
The signature detail on this low-cut Air Jordan 35 is its large, Air Jordan 12-esque mudguard, done up in a multi-colored textile pattern that includes light blue, sail, mint green, red and yellow, all in geometric shapes. This pattern wraps around to the heel, which also features a burgundy and gold Nike Air badge. The entire assemblage stands in stark contrast to the gridded black mesh base layer, and further vibrance is provided by mint green Flightwire on the midfoot for a possible indirect nod to the green shade used on most NYC courts.
Moving back to the top, a gold Jumpman and burgundy pull tab appear on the black Air Jordan 5-inspired tongue. Down below, a cool blue Eclipse Plate 2.0 houses two Zoom Air units, working with the black EVA foam midsole to provide explosive cushioning for Toppin’s on-court aerial acrobatics.
Obi Toppin’s Air Jordan 35 Low “Courts” PE will not see a retail release, but Toppin did sport it on court during the Knicks’ recent contests against the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers — and may well wear it again later in the NBA season.
