Check Out Nike's Cobbled-Together Dunk Low "Scrap"
A joyous jumble of a sneaker, with colors, patches and details aplenty.
With Nike‘s deluge of Dunk drops over the course of 2021, some colorways seem to mix together into one big Swoosh soup. After all, it’s hard to keep so many similar styles straight — especially when several more are releasing each month. Thankfully, Nike Sportswear is aware of this and has worked to inject a dose of newness into the Dunk lineup by prepping pairs like the Dunk Low “Scrap.”
The “Scrap” is far from the standard two-tone style and full leather build used on many a Dunk: instead, it mixes leather with mesh and suede in abstract style. Though the most prominent colors are a trifecta of brown shades, the “Scrap” also supplies everything from rich blue-green on the Swooshes to hits of yellow and the eyestays, purple strips on the toebox and red semi-circles on the forefoot. There’s also details like alternate stitching patterns on the mudguards and new-jack Nike hits on tongues and heels alike. Though the upper is indeed wild, it’s brought back down to earth with a classic white midsole and gum outsole.
At the time of writing, a release date and pricing information for the Nike Dunk Low “Scrap” have yet to be revealed. However, it’ll likely debut sometime this summer or fall.
