New Balance 57/40 Appears in Boisterous "Carnival/Byzantine Gold" and "Varsity Green/Team Gold" Colorways
Each pair boasts a wild array of tones, textures and materials.

New Balance‘s 57/40 is heading into its first summer on the market, and it’s bringing the season in with boisterous style thanks to “Carnival/Byzantine Gold” and “Varsity Green/Team Gold” colorways. Owing to its layered upper and thick, double-stacked midsole, the 57/40 is a ripe canvas for color experimentation — so “Carnival/Byzantine Gold” and “Varsity Green/Team Gold” take full advantage of this build.
Both colorways are constructed of mesh and suede, and centered around a large N logo on the quarter. “Carnival/Byzantine Gold” mixes sky blue and navy blue around its edges, then brings rich yellow and green shades together on the midfoot and toebox for an Oakland Athletics-style dash of flair before rounding things off with touches of signature gray. On the other end, “Varsity Green/Team Gold” mixes blue, pink and purple with mustard yellow and black. Each adds one more New Balance logo on its tongue and completes its look with soft gray EVA foam midsoles plus black outsoles.
The New Balance 57/40 “Carnival/Byzantine Gold” and “Varsity Green/Team Gold” are both set to release on the New Balance webstore come May 26. Each pair’s MSRP is set at a flat $100 USD.
