Miguel and Modern Fidelity Unveil State-of-the-Art MODFI-7 Speaker
Equipped with advanced technology that recreates the frequency of live music.

Grammy-winning artist Miguel has joined forces with Modern Fidelity — the forward-thinking audio company redefining home music devices— to unveil the highly advanced MODFI-7 speaker.
As a member of the Modern Fidelity Board, Miguel, along with the brand’s founders Gary and Benjamin Leeds, constructed the mid-century-style sound system with top-of-the-line audio, refined design and sustainable sourcing at the forefront of their vision.
The wireless speaker fuses all of the vital elements for a powerful stereo experience. It employs a core technology system for maximum functionality and a high-efficiency co-axial compression horn driver featuring a neodymium magnet and a long stroke 5.25-inch woofer to replicate the frequency of live sound. The device offers wireless connectivity through Apple Airplay, Google Chromecast, Spotify Connect and Bluetooth, as well as an aux input for a direct wire connection.
Aside from containing less than 1 percent plastic, the speaker is made entirely from sustainable materials. The sound system lives inside a wooden square-shaped box, seated atop a sleek, steel stand that attaches in the back. Black and white colorways are finished with automotive paint, while a walnut iteration is complete with real veneer.
“This is aesthetically and sonically the best home-sound-accessory I’ve ever owned,” said Miguel in a statement. “I personally use it to listen to everything from audio books, guided meditations and of course, music.”
The MODFI-7 is available to pre-order for $995 USD on Modern Fidelity’s website. A percentage of all pre-order proceeds will benefit a Los Angeles-based mental health non-profit.
Last month, Miguel dropped his first-ever fashion line under his eco-friendly label Schedule 1 Concepts. Take a look at the musician-turned-designer’s debut range.
