BROCKHAMPTON's Kevin Abstract Confirms He Will Drop a Solo Album This Year
The hip hop group will also release its final album in 2021.

Fans might still be memorizing the words to BROCKHAMPTON‘s penultimate album, ROADRUNNER: NEW LIGHT, NEW MACHINE, released last month, but lead singer Kevin Abstract is wasting no time in announcing a new development in his solo music career.
The rapper confirmed in a short tweet that he will be dropping a full-length independent project in 2021.
“Releasing my next solo album this year,” he wrote.

Details on the upcoming record — including its title, release date, and tracklist — remain a mystery.
Abstract’s last solo feat, Arizona Baby, landed in 2019, following his sophomore album American Boyfriend: A Suburban Love Story in 2016 and his debut project MTV1987 in 2014.
The rapper’s independent album announcement comes during the hip hop group’s final months together. As confirmed by Abstract in March, BROCKHAMPTON will release one final album this year, marking the official disbanding of the 10-year-strong musical supergroup.
“2 Brockhampton albums in 2021,” he wrote, one week before ROADRUNNER‘s release. “These will be our last.”

BROCKHAMPTON recently dropped a music video for their single “Count on Me,” starring Lil Nas X and Dominic Fike. Watch the two musical stars drive into the woods on a spooky trip and engage in a passionate kiss.
