Daily Paper’s Fall 2021 Collection Proves Pattern Can Exist in Excess
Featuring animal print, silver jacquard and spiritual artwork.

While indulgent patterns might fair dangerous to some, Daily Paper is embracing a bold-prints-everywhere mentality in its Fall/Winter 2021 collection, dubbed “Ancestral Anarchy.”
Delving into the social philosophy of African Anarchism, the Amsterdam-based fashion label plants sartorial motifs of animal print, silver jacquard and ethereal artworks on pieces across the range. Amplifying the brand’s community-oriented ethos, the accompanying campaign mirrors the line’s dedication to ancestry through kindred sets, mirrored ensembles and indigenous elements, including beaded necklaces and spiritual masks.
The range reconstructs Daily Paper’s typical bomber silhouettes in new oversized and fitted iterations with bright orange lining, while classic seasonal puffers receive a colorful revamp with new green, copper, burgundy and bright blue pieces. The aforementioned jacquard fabric dictates a sizable portion of the new offerings, appearing atop elevated workwear pants, padded trench coats and intricately cut tops.
The whole collection is certainly double-take-worthy, but a selection of bright yellow cheetah-printed pieces will simply have onlookers staring. Doused with white spray paint reading the brand’s name, the one-of-a-kind textile commands a range of wide-legged pants and draping parkas.
Further graffiti embellishments find their way onto the collection’s heavy cotton essentials and a faux leather line in fearless neon shades, while figure-shaping tops pick up dignified artwork symbolizing ancestral wisdom under complementary light green blazers.
The collection will be available to shop on Daily Paper’s webstore at the end of the summer.
