CMMAWEAR Takes You for a "Walk in the Woods" With Its Latest Collection
The first full release from the emerging Seoul/Tokyo-based label.
Founded by Giz Moon and Val Choi in 2020, CMMAWEAR is part of an emerging movement in fashion with a loyal following amassed through YouTube and social media. Following numerous instant sell-out drops, CMMAWEAR is now preparing its latest “Walk in the Woods” collection for a physical release.
Informed by the duo’s personal styling outlooks, the fledgling label developed everyday styles accented by functional elements and marked by quality textiles and hardware. CMMAWEAR proudly utilizes Ventile, a specially developed high-quality woven cotton fabric, cashmere and super extra fine merino wool, and Super R Raccagni zippers.
Leading the “Walk in the Woods” collection is the Crescent Cut Work Jacket, coming in “Wood Brown,” “Moon Grey” and “Black.” Designed for a striking, uniquely cropped silhouette, the outerwear piece is defined by dynamic darting, exaggerated lapels and utilitarian pocketing. The utilitarian focus is continued on the Hourglass Back Zipped Cargo Pants that feature a convertible design. Coming in “Dark Sage,” “Stone” and “Ink,” the bottom style is also marked by dynamic darting that interplays with hidden zipped pockets at the shin that accompanies side pouch pockets and slip pockets.
Finally, rounding up the concise range is the “Knitted Hood” accessory in “City Grey” and “Forest Green.” Hand-knit in Korea, the covering was designed to be an additional pairing for looks that adds a soft touch that continues the functional outlook expressed by the Crescent Cut Work Jacket and Hourglass Back Zipped Cargo Pants.
