Alife Officially Closes Its NYC Flagship Store
“Thank You to everyone that helped make it magic.”

Alife is officially closing the doors to their New York City flagship store.
Treis Hill, Alife’s GM, has taken to Instagram to share the extended message, reflecting on the over two-decades-long legacy of the store. Hill thanks everyone “that helped make it magic” all these years, adding, “There isn’t a person of influence in streetwear today that has not stepped foot in the shop. It was more than just a retail store, it was a meeting ground for downtown’s youth, it played host to countless live concerts from Drake, Nas, John Mayer, King Krule. It raised a generation of creatives.”
Alife only recently launched a new collaboration with frequent brand partner Timbaland. The latest partnership featured a three-eye lug shoe that highlights a double-stacked midsole. NYC-based photographer Blake Kunin shot the accompanying campaign for the collab. Just last May 2020, Alife, which was founded in 1999 by friends Arnaud Delecolle, Tammy Brainard, Tony Arcabascio and Rob Cristofaro , dropped a fundraising hoodie in support of the Black Lives Matter movement in honor of Ahmaud Arbery, an unarmed Black man fatally shot while jogging in Georgia.
