SPACE AVAILABLE has partnered with Alex Olson for a new collaboration as part of the “Trash for Trees” initiative. The capsule features two T-shirts designed by the skater and founder of Bianca Chandôn and Call Me 917, as well as a recycled plastic water bottle holder set and sun hat.

SPACE AVAILABLE’s “Trash for Trees” initiative is intended to recycle and redesign plastic waste, while also rescuing orangutans and replanting trees in Indonesia. While the items in the collection are all produced from recycled materials, a share of the profits will also be donated to The Sumatran Orangutan Society.

The recycled materials include the T-shirts, which are constructed from upcycled factory off-cuts and feature a seam running down the middle. The messages on each tee declare the mission of the project, with slogans such as “Radical Plastics” and “Help the Change” appearing on one, while the second features a case study on plastic recycling printed on the reverse.

The collection will release at Dover Street Market locations worldwide as well as the Space Available web store on May 28.

For more sustainable fashion, Sheep Inc. recently launched a carbon negative hoodie.
