WACKO MARIA and PRO-KEDS Rekindle Partnership With Music-Focused Footwear Collection
Vinyl record and cigarette embellishments are applied to the heels of each rendition.

Coming off of its footwear partnership with skateboarding stalwart Vans, WACKO MARIA is further building out its collaborative arm with a new PRO-KEDS project. Like the aforementioned team-up, this newest capsule brings the Japanese streetwear imprint’s affinity for music to the forefront.
The new sneaker capsule is split between a duo of colorways, one being a simple black and white makeover while the other is designed with more Spring/Summer vibes as it color-blocks between a pale pink and white. Each of the low-slung iterations are treated with premium suede leather materials that form the base layer builds, and come accented with clean white stripes, toe caps and heightened heel overlays. Additionally, the lateral heels of each foot usher in playful embroidered graphics; the left side donning a green skeletal hand spinning a vinyl record while the right side shows off another hand with a burning cigarette.
Midsoles are traditionally styled with off-white backdrops, PRO-KEDS‘ signature blue and red stripes glued to the forefoot and blue bumper stickers.
If interested, you can find these available via select retailers like atmos on April 10, 2020 for ¥24,200 (approx. $222 USD).
