Tokyo Banana Reimagines Its Pikachu Sponge Cakes As a Giant "Mega Huggy Pillow"

After launching an Eevee-themed offering, Japanese confectionary company Tokyo Banana is taking it a step further to recreate a Pikachu pillow version of its iconic sponge cakes.

Reimagining its popular Pikachu flavor, the company has just introduced the Pikachu Tokyo Banana Mega Huggy Pillow, a fluffy and spongy version of the electric Pokémon’s cake. As tall as five boxes of Tokyo Banana stacked on top of one another, the mega-sized Pokémon pillow is a replica of the banana and milk cream-filled cakes – in the same banana shape with a smiling Pikachu at the front and back. What’s different is the Pokémon’s signature lightning bolt-shaped tail has been changed to a heart-shaped version.
