Nike Air Force 1 Crater Flyknit "Wolf Grey" Supplies Stretchy Sustainable Style
Combining a familiar Air Force 1 Flyknit upper with a sustainably-speckled Crater Foam midsole.
Nike has made its Air Force 1 Flyknit even more environmentally friendly by adding renewable Crater Foam to its midsole, creating the Air Force 1 Crater Flyknit. Debuting in a “Wolf Grey” colorway, the Air Force 1 Crater Flyknit is built from at least 20% recycled content by weight — and blends multiple patterns and tones for a highly detailed look.
Made mostly of stretchy Flyknit, the sock-like upper provides two different shades. A signature “Wolf Gray” is sued on the toeboxes and quarters, while a tri-color blend of interwoven gray, blue and red threads adds vibrance to mudguards and heels alike. Swooshes and heel tabs are done up in an off-white tone and made from a linen-like material. More pops of vibrance are provided by the bright red Nike Sportswear tongue badge and the volt green insole with a classic Nike Sunburst logo.
Down below, Crater Foam midsoles are presented in “Wolf Grey” as well and feature a bumpy texture thanks to multicolor flecks of recycled rubber. Outsoles are cored out under the midfoot to save weight, but are reinforced with a classic star traction pattern on toes and heels alike to increase durability.
The Nike Air Force 1 Crater Flyknit “Wolf Grey” is set to release via the Nike GB webstore on May 6. Its retail price has yet to be announced.
