Junya Watanabe and Reigning Champ Reunite for Deconstructed Essentials

Junya Watanabe and Reigning Champ have reunited for a cardigan and a pair of sweatpants made from Reigning Champ’s signature midweight terry cotton fabric.
The cardigan features a fitted cut with a handful of deconstructed parts. Long patches extend from the elbow to the sleeve cuff, sewn over exposed seams. There’s some cinching along the shoulders and torso, too, details that are normally hidden from the exteriors but have been intentionally shown in this piece. Other details like silver-toned zippers round off the garment’s design. The sweatpants are also deconstructed but come with a more subtle design. Contrasting stitches outline the back pockets, complemented by flat locked seams along the sides, while other features like Reigning Champ’s logo below the left pocket and belt loops around the waist complete the piece.
