ILYSM's 3D-Knit Tabi Sneaker Takes on Spring-Friendly Silk
The lightweight, low-impact and machine-washable shoes are as cost-effective as ever.

After launching in 2019, ILYSM made waves with a series of thoughtful drops that included its eco-conscious tabi sneakers. That inimitable silhouette is coming back for spring, launching in a series of new colors and lightweight, breathable silk ideal for the warmer weather.
Co-founders Alice Wang and Sara Jaramillo — the latter a YEEZY and Proenza Schouler vet — have kept the tabi silhouette at the core of their far-reaching label since its inception, retaining the original design’s stretchy upper and molded outsole but updating the colors and fabrication as time went on. The affordably-priced footwear has drawn a collective of famous fans, ranging from musicians like Aminé and Charli XCX to celebrities like Soojoo Park and Dylan Sprouse and even art critic Jerry Saltz.
The first new models to debut for the season are distant cousins of the original models, with silk “Cloud Stripe” and “Shadow Stripe” mirroring the white and black makeups that kicked off the brand in the first place, complete with signature split toe and machine-washable construction — the . Upcoming colors include even more inventive makeups like the beige “Camel Stripe.”
Bookmark ILYSM’s release calendar to keep up with the rollout before the new silhouettes hit ILYSM’s web store ahead of summer. Purchases made on April 14 may claim a special pre-sale price of $99 USD — offered for only 99 hours — before the shoes default to their usual $129 USD cost.
