ASICS Is Putting Its METASPEED to the Test This Weekend
“BE(AT) Your Personal Best”.
After unveiling its all-new carbon fibre METASPEED Sky sneaker last month, ASICS is now putting it to the test this weekend with its “BE(AT) Your Personal Best” race.
Located in Domaine du Bois aux Daims, France, the event will comprise 30 of Europe’s top runners who will each be wearing ASICS’ new super shoes as they attempt to break their own personal records in either the 10,000m or 5,000m distances.
The likes of Julien Wanders, Felix Bour, Sarah Lahti, Sondre Moen and Mekdes Woldu will all be looking to shave time off their current personal bests, especially in a year of the Tokyo Olympics.
Athletes will run on a 2.5km asphalt loop with flat terrain, in the heart of the Bois aux Daims area, with course and conditions favorable to performance, in a green setting. In the current health context the race is approved by the FFA and World Athletics, which means that any records broken can therefore be approved.
You can watch along with ASICS’ “BE(AT) Your Personal Best” live and free on April 24 from 9am (CEST) via ASICS online.
