British label YMC has continued its 25th anniversary through a new collaboration with Moonstar. Linking up with the Japanese footwear label, YMC has created a basketball-inspired high-top sneaker, described by YMC’s Fraser Moss as “the choice of footwear for tearaways, delinquents and hoodlums since the birth of the teenage.”

Consistent with YMC’s drive to create a foundation wardrobe, the simple Moonstar Hi Basket comes in three colorways: indigo, olive and ecru. Each one is constructed using Moonstar’s classic rubber sole unit, as well as subtle details including sidewall reinforcement, eight eyelets, and contrasting stitching.

Take a look at the YMC x Moonstar Hi Basket in the gallery above. All three colorways are available now from the YMC web store.

In other footwear news, Dr. Martens recently linked up with King Nerd for two engraved releases.
