Y-3 Combines Classic Styling With Contemporary Tooling for All-New GR.1P High
Served in “Core White/Black.”

The Yohji Yamamoto-helmed adidas sub-label Y-3 follows on from its just-dropped 4D IO “Triple Black” with something much more old school, delivering its all-new GR.1P High in “Core White/Black.”
Looking somewhat like an avant-garde take on the adidas Originals Pro Model, the GR.1P High serves mid-top sneaker-boot looks alongside signature Y-3 design cues and more daring elements. For example, luxuriously smooth “Core White” leather is contrasted with a sole unit that’s an oxymoron in itself — while it may be streamlined as it blends seamlessly into the toe box, it also features elongated nodules all around adding a chunky textured look to the sneaker.
Elsewhere around the shoe, we see elasticated eyelets, contrasting black Y-3 branding on the tongue but tonal branding on the lateral side, visible topstitching on the lateral rear-quarter, thin laces, and a fully leather-lined interior. Y-3’s luxurious GR.1P High sneaker in “Core White/Black” can be seen in the gallery above and is available on HBX now for $455 USD.
In case you missed it, Y-3 has also just dropped two new pairs of its Shiku Run sneaker.
