Woolrich Launches Initiative to Donate a Portion of Its Profits to Environmental Projects
A move that will see the brand protect and give back to the outdoors.
The natural world has been a source of inspiration for Woolrich since it was founded almost 200 years ago. Known for its production of high-quality outerwear, the brand describes itself as having “ a passion for the outdoors, for seeing the elements not as a barrier but as an enabler”.
Now in a bid to protect the environment, Woolrich launches The Woolrich Outdoor Foundation in partnership with 1% for the Planet, a move that will see them aim to protect and preserve the outdoors and give back.
Through 1% for the Planet, Woolrich will donate 1% of its profits to environmental projects across the foundation’s three core pillars: urban space renewal, protecting forests, and coastal maintenance.
Comprising 50% money — with the remaining 50% in product, volunteer hours, services, or advertising and communications activities — the Woolrich Outdoor Foundation’s contributions to meaningful environmental projects is projected to be no less than $3 million USD in its first three years.
