Sotheby's "Buy Now Sneaker Shop" Is Offering Up 20 Ultra-Rare Nike Air Force 1s
Including a pink Fat Joe “Terror Squad” PE, Virgil Abloh’s Off-White™ “MCA” collaboration and much more.
As one of the most esteemed auction houses in the world, Sotheby’s has already sold sneakers ranging from Nike “Moon Shoes” handmade by brand co-founder Bill Bowerman to Usher’s Air Jordan 9 and Air Jordan 11 “Metallic Gold” PEs. Now, however, it’s trying something a little different: offering up 20 ultra-rare Air Force 1s through a “Buy Now Sneaker Shop.”
Drawn from the collection of entrepreneur Puneet Singh, the pairs available include seminal styles and modern-day classics alike. Older pairs include the Air Force 1 Low “UENO Sakura,” widely considered one of the greatest Air Force 1s of all time, a 40/40 Club PE made to celebrate the JAY-Z owned establishment’s first anniversary, several CLOT collaborations, a “Year of the Rabbit” hyperstrike and even one of Fat Joe‘s infamous Terror Squad PEs. Standout styles from the offering’s newer makeups include the Scarr’s Pizza hyperstrike and Virgil Abloh‘s Off-White™ “MCA” collaboration.
Unlike Sotheby’s standard auction procedure, all 20 styles can be purchased immediately via the Buy Now Sneaker Shop. Prices range from $400 USD for the Air Force 1 “Hamptons” to $13,500 USD for the aforementioned “UENO Sakura.” Expect more from Singh’s collection to arrive on the platform in the coming weeks as well.
