Norwood Drops AW21 Collection "Spiritual Isolation"
Inspired by the world outside that we hope to freely live in once again.
L.A. brand Norwood has dropped its Autumn Winter 2021 collection titled “Spiritual Isolation,” which embodies the globally shared “new normal” that the world is experiencing and having to adapt to. The collection spotlights both an appreciation and longing for natural tones, from the blue sky to dark green leaves to the warm sun, that are often lacking within four walls.
A standout feature of this collection is its earthy camo print, that can be seen as pants, a cropped puffer jacket, as well as accents on a black pullover windbreaker; while a standout item from this drop is the university blue varsity jacket with a wide back pocket, seen paired with a matching Norwood trucker hat that also arrives in a range of colors — all of which, are made in Los Angeles.
Prioritizing the health of the crew and a commitment to safety, Norwood designer and creative director Ali Saint Q commented, “Due to the pandemic, times are different nowadays. Health is a big priority for me as well as mental health and today’s time brings many challenges for both of these things. So I built my whole collection based off of these emotions and the world we’re living in now. I basically did this whole collection alone with the help of four other people. I even shot and edited the lookbook which was done in the backyard of my home.”
