Nike ZoomX VaporFly NEXT% 2 Receives Simple White and Black Makeover
A crispy clean offering to rock while you get your Nike Run Club miles in.
If one were to scan the running shoe market right now in search of tier zero silhouettes, it’d be hard to ignore Nike and its top of the line NEXT% family. In early March, this Swoosh category gladly introduced the Nike ZoomX VaporFly NEXT% 2 — a new and improved runner that has just unveiled its latest minimally-styled “White/Black” colorway.
As you can probably gather from its color coding, this specific racing variant is solely reliant on grayscale tones to outfit its entire body. Up top, the base layer — which is formed with breathable mesh and padded pockets adjacent to the the tongues that offer a more comfortable fit and reduced lace pressure — are primarily done up with an angelic finish. Notes of solid black accompany by dressing up the broken lined Swooshes on the lateral and medial sides, as well as the forefoot knitting and branded hits atop the tongues and heels.
Bottom pieces usher in more of the same vibe as the exterior of the Zoom-loaded cushioning system opts for a clean backdrop while subtle dark notes are placed along the forefoot and ZoomX and NEXT% notations printed towards the rear of the midsoles.
These have now sold out across Nike Europe, but a stateside release is expected to occur in the coming months. Retail price is set at $225 USD.
