New Balance and its in-line family has grown tremendously in the early months of the year with a  handful of 237 colorways, as well as an X-Racer “Utility” with outer pockets. And now, the Boston imprint is pushing out another variation of the New Balance 996 which comes styled with a no frills “Light Gray” theme.

For this installment, the New Balance design team forms the lifestyle-centric assemblage with lightweight mesh and suede overlays, both of which are coated with its nominal hue. Snowy white accents are also given some playing time here as they land across the smooth leather “N” logos, tongue tabs and overlays that diagonally fall across the heels. New Balance branding is present along the heels and atop the tongue, the former of which is executed with a gilded finish while the latter is worked in with a beige tone.

More gray notes outfit the back portions of the midsoles, while the rest of the ground is presented in a crisp white. Rounding everything off is the treading which is given a full gum paint job.

Retailers like atmos have these available to buy right now for ¥13,800 (approx. $126 USD).

In case you missed it, Nice Kicks, Amoeba Music and New Balance just revealed two groovy 992 collaborations.
