Kanye West and Kendrick Lamar's Masterpieces Clash on 'Good Kid, Twisted Fantasy'
DJ Toasty Digital mashes up two time-honored classics.
What happens when you blend some of Kanye West and Kendrick Lamar‘s most-revered albums together? For DJ Toasty Digital, the result is a seamless 21-minute long mashup of beats and verses that breathe new life into the works of the two artists.
Dubbed “Good Kid, Twisted Fantasy,” the remix borrows entire verses from My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and lays them over Good Kid, M.A.A.D City instrumentals, and vice versa. Like the name of this project, Good Kid, Twisted Fantasy, the deconstructed songs feature reinvented song titles, too, like “Devil in the Backseat,” “Sing About Ye” and “Runaway (Black Hippie Freestyle),” to mention a few. Moreover, the remix features a short narrative as well, transporting the listener to a dystopian world set in the year of 2050, where Yeezus has been missing for 30 years.

In case you missed it, Kanye West’s failed presidential bid reportedly cost him over $12 million USD.
