Nike's 'NSRL Series' Running Capsule is Built to Combat Low Light and Inclement Weather Conditions

Winter season is still very much in effect, and for runners who are still going out and getting their daily miles in, Nike has just unveiled its latest range of weatherized apparel: the NSRL Series. The Nike Sports Research Lab proposes this collection on the basis of its findings and feedback from runners who have difficulty working out in low light and inclement weather conditions.

From extensive research, the Swoosh’s running design team has zeroed in on creating men’s and women’s outwear, layering tops, pants, and tights that can serve as a performance-focused solution.

Standout items can be found under the outerwear umbrella and include the Transform Jacket and Aurora Bomber. The former is lined with GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ fabric, features removable down pillows that can be tucked away in the piece’s chest pocket and can be morphed into a vest as suggested by its moniker. The second-mentioned item is the answer for dimly-lit environments as its exterior shell gives off an all-over rainbow-reflective effect for ample visibility during the evening.

The NSRL series Packable Pant is engineered with a windproof material and proffers up high-vis elements such as its gray tie-dye patterns that conceal a ghost-flash that is activated by the strike of bright headlights. Similar to the aforementioned Transform Jacket, this garment also zips into itself for fuss-free packing.

Elsewhere, you’ll find thermal tights and moisture-wicking tees to complete the full and functional running outfit.

The full collection is set to launch on February 10 via Nike. Prices have not been announced yet.
