Nike Air Force 1 "Pink Bag" and "White Bag" Celebrate NYC's Bodegas
With rose graphics inspired by corner store shopping bags plus special hits on the tongue and insole.

Nike is paying homage to New York City‘s bodegas — small convenience stores that are the lifeblood of neighborhoods from Harlem to Bushwick and Astoria — with two new Air Force 1s dubbed “Pink Bag” and “White Bag.” Drawing inspiration from the reusable shopping bags found in bodegas until the recent city-wide plastic bag ban curtailed their numbers, both pairs are a homage to urban life and the businesses that make the Big Apple unique.
As their names suggest, the “Pink Bag” features a soft pink leather upper while the “White Bag” opts for a crisp white leather upper. Each top half is entirely monochromatic in style, save for the tongue tag which serves a repeating red Nike Sportswear graphic for a tweaked take on a familiar bag graphic. Though the tongue tag offers a mark that’s familiar to any city dweller, the white midsole supplies each shoe’s signature flourish by adding a rose graphic around the lateral side’s Air branding.
On the “Pink Bag,” this embellishment is done up entirely in red. On the “White Bag,” the red rose is accentuated by a green stem and leaf. Final hits of detail are supplied by Swooshed smiley faces and “Have a Nike Day” text hits on the insoles plus embroidered Nike graphics on the heel. Classic white outsoles complete the look.
The Nike Air Force 1 “Pink Bag” and “White Bag” are both set to release via Nike SNKRS Japan come February 24. The MSRP for each is set at a tax-included ¥13,200 JPY (approximately $125 USD).
