Netflix Reveals Official Teaser Trailer for Zack Snyder's 'Army of the Dead'
Arriving on Netflix on May 21.
Netflix has officially unleashed the highly-anticipated, action-packed teaser trailer for Zack Snyder‘s Army of the Dead.
The latest clip offers a more in-depth look at Snyder’s zombie heist film, set to release two months after the director’s own recut of 2017’s Justice League. The film centers around a squad of mercenaries seen battling their way through a zombie-infested Las Vegas as they attempt to pull off a massive heist.
The first trailer does not reveal too much detail regarding the storyline, however, it showcases Dave Bautista leading the pack as the city is ravaged by a zombie apocalypse. Bautista is joined by Ana de la Reguera, Ella Purnell, Garret Dillahunt and Tig Notaro amongst others.
Netflix is betting big on the success of Army of the Dead in hopes that it kicks off a new franchise for the streaming giant. In addition to this main film from Snyder, Netflix is also producing Army of the Dead: The Prequel as well as an anime-style TV series, Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas which is expected to see several of the main film’s character reprise their roles. The prequel is expected to come out in 2022.
With the release date just around the corner, fans can look forward to a full-length trailer coming soon.
Army of the Dead is set to become available on Netflix on May 21, 2021.
