Announced all the way back in 2018, Netflix has now released the trailer for Pacific Rim: The Black.

Just the latest in the streaming platform’s growing anime lineup, the upcoming animated series builds on the franchise launched in 2013. Polygon Pictures is producing the anime with showrunners Craig Kyle and Greg Johnson from Legendary Entertainment.

Pacific Rim: The Black builds on the universe in which humanity has united to create the giant humanoid mechs, known as Jaegers, controlled by two co-pilots whose minds are joined by a mental link to battle the kaijus that threaten the world. Chronicling two siblings, “an idealistic teenage boy and his naïve younger sister – who are forced to pilot an abandoned Jaeger across a hostile landscape in a desperate attempt to find their missing parents.”

Watch the trailer for Pacific Rim: The Black set to debut on Netflix March 4 above.
