Cariuma Announces New Catiba Pro High Skate Shoe
A high-top take on the Brazilian brand’s inaugural Catiba Pro skate silhouette.

After breaking into the skateboarding market with 2020’s Catiba Pro, sustainability-focused Brazilian footwear brand Cariuma is back with the Catiba Pro High. As the name would indicate the new silhouette is indeed a high-top version of the Catiba Pro, and it’s already being sported by members of Cariuma’s skate team like Jagger Eaton, Chris Pierre and Tyler Jeremy.
Arriving in two different black/white makeups — one with contrast stitching, one that serves a more stark look — plus an airy white style, the Catiba Pro High is built from organic cotton canvas and ethically sourced suede, with an elevated collar and a Cariuma logo on the midfoot. On the bottom half, sturdy midsoles and raw gum rubber outsoles with a classic herringbone traction pattern offer standout grip and durability, meant to tackle even the most arduous street skating sessions. Memory foam insoles complete the build by supplying exemplary shock absorption and comfort. Per usual for Cariuma’s products there’s an environmentally conscious at play: for each pair sold, the brand will plant two trees.
The Cariuma Catiba Pro will be available for pre-order on the brand’s webstore come February 9 and is priced at $119 USD.
