Y-3 Reinvents Classic Silhouettes With AJATU Collection
Including a new take on the Nizza.
Y-3 has expanded its AJATU line, continuing to update some of adidas‘ classic silhouettes with Yohji Yamamoto‘s signature design ethos. The new capsule introduces the AJATU Court High silhouette alongside the AJATU Run, which was first revealed back in July.
The AJATU Court High is based on the Nizza silhouette, with the basketball sneaker given more exaggerated proportions. Other features of the high-top sneaker include a woven textile upper, leather accents and wrap-around laces that allow the wearer to put on or remove the shoes without untying the laces.
Taking a different approach, the AJATU Run is based on traditional running shoes, although it also features exaggerated proportions. The sneaker’s upper is constructed from premium suede, textile and breathable mesh, while the sole unit contains Lightstrike technology for comfort.
Both the AJATU Court High and the AJATU Run are available now from select stockists including Aphrodite.
