Drôle de Monsieur Experiments With Golf and Yachting Styles For SS22
With a coloraturas palette inspired by the Chesterfield Hotel, Palm Beach.
For Drôle de Monsieur, Spring/Summer 2022 is about relaxation and enjoying the good life in style.
Under the guise of co-founders Maxime Schwab and Dany Dos Santos, the label has materialized its holiday wardrobe by experimenting with modern and vintage codes and taking notes from yachting and golf attire, as well as preppy styles and nineties sportswear.
Pleated trousers, piqué polo shirts and argyle patterns pay homage to classic golf uniforms, while summer knits are given a summer makeover with bright hues and grape prints, a nod to Schwab and Dos Santos’ hometown of Dijon. The brand’s tracksuit is back to its original form with technical fabrics, while its take on the epochal Mac coat with five-pocket denim forms a unique take on the classic suit.
SS22’s color palette is inspired by the Chesterfield Hotel in Palm Beach, Florida, with off whites and greens meeting “Salmon Pinks” and “Dusty Yellows”.
The collection is set to drop early next year and will be available from the Drôle de Monsieur webstore.
In other news, Brett Westfall has reworked COMME des GARÇONS shirts, purses, and Nike Air Carnivores for his latest custom collab.
