Goodhood and HERESY Celebrate Stonemasonry in Limited-Run Capsule Collection
Enlisting the work of the South London-based artist George Edwards.
East London’s leading lifestyle store Goodhood and its frequent Peckham-based collaborator HERESY have come together once again, following on from the T-SHIRTNOW: Volume Two partnership for a capsule that puts the spotlight on stonemasonry.
Enlisting the work of the South London-based stonemason George Edwards, Goodhood and HERESY deliver both a long and short-sleeve T-shirt, as well as a tote bag, zine, and sticker pack, which is centered around the graphics and illustrations that have been penned by Edwards.
The visuals fit right in with HERESY’s aesthetic, which often plays on folklore tropes and mythology surrounding the ideas of ancient tales and lifestyles. On the black tee, for example, you’ll see the art of stonemasonry taking place with an ancient bust being carved out of rock printed onto the top, while the long-sleeve tee features HERESY and “Outsiders” branding alongside two symbolic carvings, almost as if they’re totem poles.
As touched upon, there is also zine, comprising 28 A5-sized pages bound on paper and saddle-stitched before being covered and centered around Edwards’ stonemasonry, original sketches, wood sculptures, landscape photography, and more. The sticker pack is much of the same, but here it features more of HERESY’s tongue-in-cheek attitude.
