Fresh off the heels of its footwear link-up with Sebago, Manchester-based retailer Oi Polloi returns for Fall/Winter 2021 alongside British outerwear label Berghaus, to resurrect one of its most iconic jackets: the Ice Cap 78.
The duo — who also teamed up last year for a modern take on the Tempest 89 — have been tweaked the Ice Cap 78 with a padded taffeta fabric for 2021, which arrives in either “Medieval Blue/Volcano” or “Forest Biome/Dusk” colorways.
Aptly named as such thanks to its ability to keep its wearers toasty in the most treacherous of conditions, the jacket comes equipped with full zip fastening, press stud storm flap and a detachable drawcord hood, while each take is rounded out with subtle Berghaus branding on one of its two stud-fastened slash pockets.
“The blue version was one of the most popular OG colours, coveted by both ravers and hard-as-nails outdoorsmen alike,” scribed Oi Polloi co-founder Nigel Lawson in a recent blog post. “The green iteration was one of the rarest colours about, near-impossible to get your hands on when it debuted and rarely spotted in the wild since”.
Both iterations of Berghaus’ Ice Cap 78 jacket drop on October 14, 10am BST, and will be available from the Oi Polloi webstore.
