Berghaus Updates Its Classic Tempest 89 Jacket for FW20

Berghaus’ Tempest 89 is arguably the brand’s most widely-recognised garment. A resident of the U.K.’s rave scene, it’s a jacket that oozes the ‘90s in both silhouette and color palette.
Now, in the midst of Fall/Winter 2020, the classic jacket has been reintroduced and reimagined at British retailer Oi Polloi. Made from a concoction of waterproof polyamide, taped seams and a wire-lined drawcord hood, the Tempest 89 retains the look and feel of its original, yet has the feel of something newer.
Arriving in a fresh “Vallarta Blue” colorway with contrasting panels and pops of yellow throughout, the jacket boasts a foray of pockets and a boxy, but adjustable, fit.
Available now in limited quantities from the Oi Polloi webstore, Berghaus’ Tempest 89 “Vallarta Blue” retails at £200 (approximately $245 USD).
