Junya Watanabe MAN's FW21 Runway-Worn Stepney Workers Club Slip-Ons Have Arrived
Featuring bold “JWCdGMAN” branding.
Junya Watanabe MAN‘s Fall/Winter 2021 runway was a feast for collaborative goodness, working with Carhartt, Levi’s, the British musician Loyle Carner, and the London-based independent footwear brand Stepney Workers Club. Now, the runway-debuted slip-on Lister in black has been released in limited-quanties.
The collaborative pair takes S.W.C.’s signature Lister silhouette and applies Junya Watanabe’s classic aesthetic and palette of black and white. Prominent branding on the midsole reads “JWCdGMAN,” while the S.W.C. shaking hand motif appears on a crescent-shaped tab on the tongue area.
Contrast white stitching decorates the entirety of the upper, detailing the heel tab that’s made from webbing and sitting above an S.W.C. sole tab, before also marking out the various panels of the slip-on. Rounding out the pair is the canvas interior where you’ll find branding from both S.W.C. and Junya Watanabe COMME des GARÇONS MAN, as well as the smooth outsole that’s become a signature of the brand.
